Horse and pony hair brushes are commonly used for cleaning denture acrylic, interproximal areas after deflasking, and general laboratory polishing. Comparable 19 mm horse-hair and goat-hair miniature brushes are rated up to 16,000 rpm, while broader laboratory guidance commonly recommends working around 5,000-6,000 rpm. Use light pressure to let the hair tips carry paste and refine the surface without removing fine anatomy.
