All GS polishers use an RA shank suitable for low-speed handpieces and are available in multiple head shapes for different surfaces and contours. By combining different abrasive materials with a soft silicone binder, the GS Series is designed to support a straightforward chairside workflow for composite finishing and polishing.
Three Steps for Composite Polishing
The GS Series provides a simple three-step polishing process. The coarse polisher is used for initial smoothing, the medium polisher for pre-polishing, and the fine polisher for final polishing. Each step gradually refines the composite surface and prepares it for the next stage.
The three grits are easy to distinguish during use: white for coarse, blue for medium and red for fine.
Different Abrasives with a Soft Silicone Binder
The GS Series uses different abrasives for different polishing steps. The white coarse polishers use aluminum oxide for the initial smoothing stage, while the blue medium and red fine polishers use silicon carbide for pre-polishing and final polishing.
All three grits use a soft silicone binder. The silicone holds the abrasive particles in the polishing head while giving the polisher enough flexibility to follow the surface and contour of composite restorations.
Three Shapes for Every Surface and Contour
The GS Series is available in three head shapes: flame, inverted cone and knife edge. Two flame sizes are available for different working areas, while the inverted cone and knife edge shapes provide additional options for different surfaces, contours and access requirements.
Each shape is available in coarse, medium and fine grits, allowing the same head shape to be used throughout the three polishing steps when needed.
GS Series Specifications
The GS Series includes 12 polishers across three head shapes and three grit levels. All models use an RA shank for low-speed handpieces and are reusable and sterilizable by steam at 135°C. The coarse polishers have a recommended speed of 3,000 to 8,000 min⁻¹, while the medium and fine polishers are recommended for 3,000 to 5,000 min⁻¹.
